More Good news / Bad news
To follow Fred, I was trying my hardest to paint my speed plane, when I received a call from my daughter. She didn't want to talk to her Mom this time, I thought this strange. She told me she had just had an accident. Everyone will be alright, no major injuries. But the poor car she hit with my big blue Dodge defined the meaning of crumple zone. It looked like you smashed a pop/beer can. Old Blue will be alright too, not bad. As long as the insurance agent doesn't tota it since its a 1998. I just put a new engine in her. The good news, I wanted to fix the paint on the hood, it had a couple chips and someone had hit something very minor with the bumper (no one know anything about that though), now I can get all that fixed.
Now back to a fast and bad paint job on the speed plane. I had the paint job all planned out on paper, I tossed that in the garbage and changed everything but the colors.

I posted my official picture without any paint on it. I'll try to get it painted by tomorrow night's deadline, but I hope I've already qualified sufficiently. I could fly it just like it is, so I think that ought to be okay. It just might be heavier after I land than it was when it took off.
I'm glad your daughter and the old battle wagon are okay.

Hey Duke, glad to know that your Daughter is ok. A very scary phone call to get... those first few seconds until you're assured that there were no injuries. It's so strange.. I don't know how she described the accident to you, but the few I've had in my lifetime appear in slow-motion when I replay them back in my mind. I think it's actually because they happened so quickly.. that I tend to recall every segment of the traumatic event.

Duke... Great to hear your daughter is healthy and uninjured
I have received that call a few times and know the concern and gut wrenching fear
Best wishes for the truck recovery

Rusty/Fred
That call was scary at first, we have been lucky, this is the first accendent the kids have had. She's almost 19 and has been driving my rigs since she was 15, she just had a bad day. She's a little shaken by it, but she'll be ok.
Old Blue will be ok too. If the insurance wants to total it, I'll buy it back and due the repairs myself. I really like that truck, and I really love my daughter.
