My first and only Cox Stuka

My first and only Cox Stuka
Well, my ebay hiatus lasted less than a week, but truth be known, I have been nibbling.
All the recent Stuka talk here peaked my interest for the other “Iconic Cox airplane” in addition to the established PT-19. It’s not without fault as the forward canopy is missing along with it’s pilot and the horizontal stabilizer is broken. Just more parts to look for and maybe fabricate if necessary.
I “made an offer” that was accepted and this “new but damaged” Stuka is mine.

The pilot figure is painted, most I have seen are just red plastic. Did they come both ways?

Re: My first and only Cox Stuka
Didn't somebody (other Mark?) just post photos of half a Stuka with a serviceable horizontal stab?

Yes, I have it book marked, but at $60 it's not presently an option. I did find a used but complete H stab at an inflated price BIN but still what I saved on my offer to the Stuka's seller more than paid for it.
Forward canopy and pilot...more of a challange.

Yo!
I wasn't gonna say anything 'till I got home from breakfast and checked my 'Stuka Graveyard', but I got a stab and elevator unit in good shape I'll send you for postage. Sorry I can't help with a windscreen or pilot though.

Re: My first and only Cox Stuka
Thanks guys, but the H stab is a done deal. I should learn to check in here with friends before I go ebay trolling. But, I will be needing a pilot figure and a forward canopy.

Hi Craig, The box looks pretty much done in, unless there is more that he didn't show.
We shall see......."Shipped today" or so they say.
