Nicely done! I bet that would actually fly pretty good, you could even use longer lines. I would drop that "safety prop" they're not as efficient as a normal prop.
Re: WEN MAC WITH TEE DEE UPGRADE
Yea, I just put that prop on for the picture . I'm also going to take the muffler off. The thing is in the dishwasher now for its final bath. The mounting holes lined up perfectly for the tee dee. What size prop would you use on that?

Re: WEN MAC WITH TEE DEE UPGRADE
Hey Gardener, good job, that looks like it'll be perfect for Tee Dee power. As for the prop, I'd go straight to the Tee Dee's sweet spot with a 5x3 Master Airscrew GF series. That would be a cut down 6x3. Those are the mot successful general purpose props I've ever used on my Tee Dees. Try cutting them to 5.25 and 5.5" too, and see which is best. I think the TD becomes unhappy with anything longer than 5.5". Do you know how much it weighs, and have you set the starting C/G yet??akjgardner wrote:Yea, I just put that prop on for the picture . Let's do some vintage plastic racing! Lol, just kidding, but it does sound kind of interesting, Wen-Mac Corsairs with Tee Dees on 35% nitro!

Welcome to the Airacobra club. I have a half dozen of them if you include the King Cobra.
I would think that you disassembled it completely before the trip to the dish washer. Looks like it came out clean and minus the decals unless you took them off first.
I bet there are hundreds of those engine covers in land fills and lost in work shops nation wide. I could use a couple myself.
An air race between any standard plastic Wen Mac and a standard Cox of the same type would be interesting. But my bet in this regard would go to the TD equipped Airacobra.

Re: WEN MAC WITH TEE DEE UPGRADE
Yeah Mark , that thing would really scream. I'm Just getting back into control line after about 40 years so I don't think I will start with this one. I got an old pt19 and I built a baby ringmaster.Mark Boesen wrote:lol, i was thinking a Tee Dee in a little Wen-Mac like the Corsair would really haul!
