I can see other people's smilies, but I can not insert one. If I click on one, the cursor just disappears.

Yep that works.
I'm using Opera 11.60. It's a new version, I bet that's the problem. I clear out the whole system every day with CCleaner.
I'll sign in with IE9, I bet it will work.

Yep that's it. It's Opera that isn't working right. They'll probably update again in another day or two.
