Hi, the number "293" is stamped... According to the book "Dan Calkin and his Elfs", it has been sold in Comet store 6.30.1942...

I think this is a rare engine ?

Rare or not, it's an interesting engine. Just look at the castings and they way they are bolted together.

What do you mean ? The castings are bolted, indeed, as you can see on the photos...

I've been told by a friend that some copies have been made by Woody Bartellt andHarn Hand...

Is that what you mean ?

For the rest, this engine looks pretty good, but... I am a beginner !
