How DARE they?!?!?
When I drew up my BTC-4Akro last month and put the plans in the thread, I was happy to let anyone use the drawing if they wanted, expecting at least a nod to all my hard work. But as I was browsing around the web today, I saw this:
![How DARE they?!?!? Pict4933_small_638](https://2img.net/h/controlline.org.uk/phpBB2/files/pict4933_small_638.jpg)
As you can see, they blatantly copied my BTC-4A design:
![How DARE they?!?!? DSCN4445_zps42civi9q](https://2img.net/h/i32.photobucket.com/albums/d26/batjac/DSCN4445_zps42civi9q.jpg)
How DARE they copy my BTC without attribution and publish photos of my design five years ago…
Oh, sure. The plane they built has a double tapered sheet wing instead of an airfoil shaped wing. And the wing area is less. And they put the bellcrank on the bottom. And relocated the horizontal stabilizer. And the plans are dated 1996. BUT IT’S MY DESIGN, DAMMIT!!! How DARE they copy me!!!

Well, their vertical stab is smaller and the cockpit is farther back and integral to the body, but....... yeah, they totally robbed you.

Re: How DARE they?!?!?
I am not sure I understand this thread.
It looks like someone took your idea and made it their own. Did you have the plans copyrighted?
Who is they? Is a company selling it or was it just some guy building a plane for himself.
Ron
Ok I get it. It's a joke. You got me.

Egad's man, it IS a conspiracy! I just have this Sherlock Holmes feeling that these copy cat model makers did not have the proper Cox engine to power the counterfeit copy of the BTC-4, so.....the're the prime suspects in the case of your missing 049 with the KK fine thread NV. Be on the look out for these evil doers......

I think you have to read the OP's post again - I think he reconfirmed a great design. He mentions he found it referenced from 1996 - already out there.
Nice plane, too!

Yeah, I guess I was a little more subtle than I thought I was. I was more or less making a joke on myself about my "brand new" design being similar to what someone did 20 years ago...
