And it's here
October 7th already, and the weather's been too poor to fly for over a month.

Hope you can get your airplane in the air soon.. but don't worry if you're a little late. Nobody "here" will mind. Actually.. there's some great tips on cold-weather flying.
Read this thread when you get a chance...
There are some good tips for cold weather flying in that thread. I kind of doubt I'll be trying it though. It's enough of a PITA trying to get set up, get the engine running, and avoid crashing the planes, without wearing 20 pounds of clothes, and slogging through 2 feet of snow.

Well Shoot, ya still get “atta boy” points for trying ! The weatherman used a four letter word in tonight’s forecast : SNOW. Just when I was getting used to the global warming.

Hey "TL".. sorry about the gremlins affecting your PT19 flight attempts yesterday.. Many of you guys are prone to consistently colder weather a little bit before me; here in Rhode Island I guess. We "did" get a frost a week or so ago.. but the last few days have been in the 50's/60's.. with one day reaching 67F at 7:00 a.m. It's been rainy though..
It's been either mild and rainy.. or cold and windy.. Just can't catch a break..

The temperature here today was 47°f. That's about 30 degrees warmer than usual this time of year.
I got two flights in with the PT-19. Wind started picking up after the second flight.
I know, pics or it didn't happen. Unfortunately, all my camera batteries died while trying to video the flights, so you'll have to take my word for it.
It was an absolutely beautiful day here for December. If by some slim chance, tomorrow is as good as today was, I might try it again. Got fully charged camera batteries now.

Hello Folks - Seems we should get ourselves out this year, 2020.
Does anyone want to venture a date?

Unless you meant 9-10-2021, you may have to wait a really, loooooong time for 9-10-11 to roll around again.

Re: The Official "International Cox PT-19 Fly It If You Got It Day!" Thread
It might be a bit much to ask. Ringmaster Fly-a-thon is just a week before your proposed date. I'd suggest that those with a PT-19 simply fly when you're able and post some pictures/videos and a report here. Regulations around the world vary greatly, so many may not be in a "legal" position to participate. The fun police are well and truly out around here.
Then again, if you can settle on a date and a few can do it, well done. Go for it. Hey, send me a PT-19 and I'd even take the risk to make an effort.
Rod.
