Re: Unknown glow heads
Maybe Norvel .074 clamp and glow buttons. I have one at home I can check later. The current head clamp looks slightly different on the NV Engines website though.

Re: Unknown glow heads
On my Norvel .074 I measure .624” for the OD of the threads. The glow button big end measures .588” and the stem of the glow button measures .331” and the overall height of the glow button is .659”. The overall OD of the top fin is 1.020”

Re: Unknown glow heads
What does the inside look like?
It reminds me of The VA .049 MkII which uses a slightly larger thread than the Mk I did, which was the same as on the cox .049 engines.
Just checked one of mine and the threads are about 0.63" OD, so not that one either then...

Definitely not Norvel inserts.
Maybe Larry over at kitting it together has an idea of what they are. He was importing engines in the early 2000's.

Re: Unknown glow heads
I have never seen that very head before, so my best guess is that it could be an after market head for a Testors McCoy .049? They have a slightly larger thread than the Cox .049...
Just check one and they seem to be 14.1mm, so I guess that is not the one either then...

Was going to auction the set on eBay but, in absence of knowing what they are, they shall go into the bin lol.

Re: Unknown glow heads
Yikes, big faux pas
Perhaps we will list them on our site with specs and let buyers decide if the want the package.

Re: Unknown glow heads
They must be for something.
I'd hang onto them for awhile and see if someone comes up with an engine. Maybe one of us will stumble across something that looks like them on an engine. They look familiar for some reason.
