There were some guys drilling with a drill press, then using a particular size Phillips screwdriver which gives the diameter and angle, and then tapping. This was all done without removing the piece so it is aligned. It would be better to just get the Kamtechnik head, or find someone with a lathe if you don't have one.

Yes, RTV helps but you still need a lathe to fix the adapter-head, here is a link to that discussion on RCU: The great glow plug run-off

It will run that way, but there will be a substantial loss of power from the stock TD head. The turbo plug will be about the same as stock, maybe better.

Alan this turbo plug adapter is far from stock power...

Cox Queen Beast .074 / Kamtechnik Turbo Plug Adapter Test
Works with the .074  and Tee Dee .09
APC 6x3
Static Peak 19,783 rpm  / .214 hp - 158w / 56.2 mph pitch speed
Impressive 23.3 oz thrust!
OS P4 turbo plug / 25% nitro / 20% oil / two head shims as I recall.
This is now a viable power house well exceeding the TD .051

Greg bought a new CNC machine and has been setting it up once happy with it I
expect these will show up on his web page.

Rare to actually find some flying vid with these engines:

That will be interesting to see what Greg comes up with. What do the numbers compare to with a stock TD plug with one washer? I ran mine with a bigger prop which I thought was about right. A 6 - 3.5 MAirscrew prop using no muffler and only 10% fuel. If I am reading this correctly, the head with the standard plug in it went 14,600 and 16,000 with the TD head. It says open muffler, and 15,400 with no muffler. Might be wrong running faster with the opened muffler from open exhaust? Still pretty good I think. I don't run really small props normally. These things are pretty old and parts are fairly hard to get.

Those old reviews likely were with the plug head, and the APC was not born yet. The Kamtechnik would be the way to go. That song from the Mambo video will be in my head all day. I have the Queeny in this plane, still have not flown it, so no video here either. test stands - Cox Spyder/ Queen Bee 074 - Page 2 Jr_fal10

It is a swap meet item that I got mostly for the motor which did not run for some reason. Sorted it out, pinched fuel line, it had an AM radio so it just sits. I am pretty sure it is a Jr Falcon, likely a kit. I should get it going, it wouldn't take much, have an Orange receiver somewhere. It isn't a top priority. I keep getting swap meet stuff, I have so much that I don't know where to start.

If it is, I just down loaded the plans from Outerzone.
Shows a Cox Golden Bee and has a 37" wing span.
I like the look.
