Some very high performance 1/2A speed models were flown at the 2018 NW Regionals on the Memorial Day weekend. Shown here is American record holder Jerry Rocha from Napa, California. Jerry won the Open Speed class at 131+ mph with his megaphone pipe CS .049 powered monoline entry. Jerry also won the 1/2A Profile protospeed class with his Picco P-05 powered model at 103+ mph. My own (much modified) all black McShuribo powered proto entry placed 2nd at 81+ MPH.
