Shocked 3 interesting (to me) engines I got!!

Post  MBT85 Tue Dec 25, 2018 6:21 am

As written in other posts here are my 3 new (to me) .049’s. I’m not going to explain what they all are as pictures say a million words.......But I will say I’m happy with my new engines, the black tanked one on the engine display I made is probably the one with the best/tightest compression. But the other 2 are still great!! I hope to figure out these ‘postage stamp’ backplate mountings and then I’ll make a stand for the pullstart engine, and the white flick start engine I’ll be building a stand for also. I love these little engines so much!! All in all I’m very happy!!!

Yes definitely an addiction hahaha
I’m trying to collect different engines, to see the original forms they came in. I really want a Thermal Hopper!!!! Amongst many others but I love that birdcage on the back!

Thank you for the kind words guys. I really appreciate it

You are off to a good start and have a good eye. A Thermal Hopper with the birdcage is a real classic. Collect what you like and with model airplane engines, there are a lot to like! Welcome!

True words !!!  With the vast numbers of Cox engines made over the decades, there's a good chance that anyone could eventually accumulate a nice collection of these little castor slingers.

Good luck on the Thermal Hopper...I'm sure there's one floating around out there with your name on it !!!

Be careful, they are like potato chips, you can't eat just one. Smile

Thanks guys!!
Cox has now become an everyday thing hahaha, I look at the forums and websites everyday. I used to be heavily into new 1/10 RC cars and boats but this has just taken over LOL
The majority of the RC stuff I’m trying to sell off to fund more Cox fun times. Got a pretty penny’s worth of that stuff and I just don’t use it and havnt for a couple months now.
Thermal Hopper!! I want one but only with the birdcage, I also like space bugs. I’ll buy one when the right ones pops up. I’m not just going to search for that engine, like you said Kim I’m sure there’s one out there with my name on it.
I Love This Forum!
