**Black Lynx Engine Giveaway** Cox Engine of the Month (2019)
It's time once again to giveaway another Black Lynx .049 engine from Ex Model Engines! For the last six months, forum members voted for and chose the engine that would represent each month since July. This drawing is between the six Cox Engine of the Month winners. Since it is the end of the year, a second drawing will be held to giveaway another engine to anyone who has entered a picture in the Cox Engine of the Month since January.
For the July through December Cox Engine of the Month winners drawing, a bingo cage filled with number balls numbered from 1 to 6 will be used.
For the drawing with all Cox Engine of the Month participants, a bingo cage filled with number balls numbered from 1 to 10 will be used. A number will be pulled for each month and then two more number balls will be added to the cage so that the number balls will be numbered from 1 to 12. Then a number will be pulled out of the 12 which will designate a winner.
The winners will be sent a congratulatory private message with the instructions on how to claim the prize.
Please make note that if you are the winner of the Black Lynx .049 engine out of either the “January to June” or “July to December” Cox Engine of the Month winners drawing, your name (and number associated with) will be pulled from the 2019 Participants drawing.

Just like the Lottery, you can't win if you don't enter...
Just wish we could get more voters! There's a heckuva lot more people watching than 32, 34, but that's all the votes cast most months. Come on guys, get with the program!

Really it is. Cox Engine Forum is one of the best aeromodelling forum in the world. I don't exaggerate any. I wonder why only about thirty members are active.

Re: **Black Lynx Engine Giveaway** Cox Engine of the Month (2019)
I suspect, with few exceptions, most world citizens are invested in all the me too crap...right, left, gay, straight...don't matter, everyone has some ax to grind...socially or politically
kind of sad to acknowledge --we can only entice the same 30~50 friends..... on another forum I [bleep] off a fellow CEF MEMBER....I hope not---PERMANENTLY...... deeply regret it...MY DOWN UNDER FRIEND is one of our non American members I learn from...and I cherish the education
As the world watches the USA further devolve this election cycle...pray for us...we are seriously close to civil war...at least more and more violence and civil disobedience....nobody is going to win Nov 4th 2020 IMNSHO

Re: **Black Lynx Engine Giveaway** Cox Engine of the Month (2019)
Mark I suspect in my muddled mind I think 3000+ CEF members and only 30~50+ actively participating ----has a lot to do with anger, and politics....
THIS IS NOT A RIGHT LEFT STRAIGHT GAY THING..I WAS TRYING TO SAY---- MOST CITIZENS ARE ULTRA ABSORBED IN current events and politics and much more focused on division than common interests.....
I actually hope I got this observation wrong

Re: **Black Lynx Engine Giveaway** Cox Engine of the Month (2019)
Fred I think the 3000+ membership, even if a documented fact, is an inflated number compared to the population of us i.e. a hardliner small bunch of enthusiasts who regularly read and write posts on CEF.
I do not see this gang being more than 50-60 people at best...I screened the Memberlist and found that Rusty is the top poster with more than 10k posts and the No 50th poster has 700+posts. You are No 14, I am No 21 ..the rest of the registered CEF members ranking e.g. 200 and above may most be one-timers who just registered and peeked in once or twice and lost interest. I do not see any "division" of CEF members other than interested active hobbyists or nostalgic one timers..this is my uneducted sociologist opinion

Yeah, Phred's earned the right to bitch a bit in my opinion. Go ahead Buddy, vent a bit. I'll read every word and nod right along with you.
That bit you had on your signature about "Son, I said leave the ground..." cracked me up. Now I don't remember the whole thing and you changed it! Put it back up!

CEF is like the Woman's Sowing Circle compared to AR15.com. The technical sub forums demand civility but General Discussion is a stream of insults and mud slinging.
CEF is the most polite forum I have ever seen!

You are right. I had been banned temporarily in another forum once. I had sent several plans to that forum about more than fifteen years ago, and a member called me as "thief". Now the same forum has a plans section and hundreds of plans. But I have no complaint any.

Re: **Black Lynx Engine Giveaway** Cox Engine of the Month (2019)
I do not communicate well
I offered over $500 in prizes for a year long contest....of 3000+ registered CEF members less than 10 entered
occasionally I look at the topic....and views vs comments.....
our engine of month, for over a decade, has hundreds of views vs actual votes....this might be skewed because we all look once or twice a day....BUT....450 views vs 23 votes IMO means a LOT of drive by lurkers....that do not vote for some reason I can not understand......

Re: **Black Lynx Engine Giveaway** Cox Engine of the Month (2019)
I've noticed the same thing, and I've wondered if maybe some folks don't feel really entitled to vote because they don't really participate much in conversation. I know I felt that way for a while. I don't have any idea how to address that issue other than to say -
Please vote, even if you don't post very much. Or for that matter, even if you don't own a single Cox engine! If you visit here very much at all, you know what cool looks like!
