Re: Rusty's Final Flight
Rusty was a good person with a big heart. Seeing his log in on the Travelling Engine was neat.

Will miss Rusty...
Just logging into the Forum after a bit of a hiatus.
So sorry to hear of Rusty's passing.
Rusty's enthusiasm and dedication was a big factor in getting me back into the sport.
He guided me on a couple of issues, he was so ready to help and share his enthusiasm.
Condolences to the family, may he Rest in Peace.

Re: Rusty's Final Flight
This is sad news. I did not meet Rusty in person but really appreciated his exchanges with me on this forum which guided me to much success in the 1/2a hobby. Ive watched many of his YouTube videos when I was scratching my head on what to do, multiple times, and am grateful he took the time to make the tutorials. I hope to pass on some of his wisdom to my kids and other modelers. He seemed like a great all around guy and always willing to help. My condolences.

Yes.. sad news indeed Derek. I echo your feelings about Rusty. So happy though; that you were inspired by him.. in the words that you wrote here. So many of us feel the sadness of his passing.
Re: Rusty's Final Flight
I had a good long talk with Holley, Rusty’s wife tonight. She is still heavily grieving, but overall doing ok.
Don’t forget we are taking donations that will go directly to Rusty’s wife. I told her to use them as she sees fit.
Those that leave this world have no need for anything. Those left behind have much need.

Re: Rusty's Final Flight
Ron I've not seen the fundraiser until today. I will share the link over on Stunt Hanger as Rusty had many friends over there as well. Is there a way to extend the deadline for donations? I see it ends in 2 days. Thx.Cribbs74 wrote:I had a good long talk with Holley, Rusty’s wife tonight. She is still heavily grieving, but overall doing ok.

Re: Rusty's Final Flight
Mike,
That’s a good idea. I’ll have to ask Jacob about extending as he is the one who set up the fundraiser. I don’t see a problem sharing the link on SH.

Re: Rusty's Final Flight
Thanks for sharing the link on SH Mike.
I extended it until the 3rd, think that is long enough?
