Did Cox also market under the "Avion" brand?

Re: What is Cox Avion?
Thanks but I was just curious as to what model of engine it is as I don't believe that I have even seen one.
Re: What is Cox Avion?
According to Dan Sitters book it's a 190-2 (1961 - 1965)ECJ#12. Not sure which sub classification it is, a, b, c... etc

Engine mount part number
Mudhen wrote:The engine is the "Avion 190." It was the first non-integral tank product engine used in the Shinn 2150A.
Mudhen: you don’t happen to know the part number of the yellow engine mount? Sure looks like a great way to go. Do you know how well the engine performed? If it performed well why is it not being used today? So many questions.

Because parts are hard to find, and it was specific to the Shinn. I suppose it could be adapted.happydad wrote:...If it performed well why is it not being used today?
Firewall P/N 6207.
The core engine was single bypass and had the same performance as a Babe Bee.

Mudhen:
thanks for the info. I bet that part is just as hard to get as the reed holder-needle valve assembly was.
