Cox LazyBee Arf
Hey All,
So I have done a bit of digging and have not found an answer yet. Was the balsa version of the cox lazybee ARF ever put into production? or just the foam one? I am planning on scratch building a wood one from the factory plans, and was looking for some details that are missing. Thanks!!

Cox didn't manufacture a kit of Lazy Bee, only made ARF foam model, at least I know. This model has been manufactured by Clancy Aviation in balsa build-up kit form.
What kind of info do you need about this model?

I kind of came to the same conclusion that the Balsa ARF must never have gone into production. The spar drawing on the wing was a bit confusing and I was hoping to see one to clear things up.....but.....guess I am on my own. This design is not built like Andy's, as it was intended as an ARF. Thanks!

Re: Cox LazyBee Arf
Hi,
I have those plans as well, but unfortunately they are not built the same as the Cox version. The Cox version had sheet fuselage sides, a single sheer web spar, sheet tail surfaces and a molded upper boot cowl that I will have to make in fiberglass I suppose. Plus this one is only around 35" span. I guess I will just have to start building it and see if it all makes sense!

Kims Lazy Bee has been a testbed for numerous engine combinations. I'm not sure about its construction but it might be worth asking him about it.

Re: Cox LazyBee Arf
What I gather, is that Cox was designing both a foam, and a balsa version......and the foam one was put into production while the balsa one was not. So....I guess once I figure this out....it will be the only Cox designed balsa lazy bee out there. Sounds fun!
