May be he was building Cox engines one piece at a time like Johnny Cash's song about making a Cadillac?rsv1cox wrote:Just thought. Maybe a dumpster diver. There has been some discussion about that previously on the forum.

Looks like there is a couple small cracks on the beat up Sportsman crankcase. New one looks nice.

Re: Bucket-O-Cox parts lot
Still cleaning up engines. There are some thermal hoppers to clean up and other engines that need screws or reeds to complete.
This TD .15 special is near new. Has a nice pop and holds compression at TDC.

Yesterday I made 120lbs of summer sausage with my dad. 25lbs of reduced sodium beef sausage for my mom and the rest venison. Took 10 hours to grind, mix and stuff this and today I managed to smoke 80lbs. Here is part of the second batch after being removed from the ice bath. Ready to hang for a few days in our basement unheated porch that maintains 38F this time of year.

Spoils from all the hard work.

Wow!!! I wish I had the guts to do that and buy like that. I have never bought anything from Ebay and the parts I have bought from Bernie and Matt are the first parts I have ever bought over the internet and internationally on top of that. I think your sort of purchasing is beyond me.
Well done! I salute you!
cheers,
Gary

Good looking sausage! It is a lot of work, we only got one deer this year over the course of 3 weekends 35 miles of walking and climbing, one deer.... took me two days to process and I didn’t do any sausage. I did about 5lbs of jerky though.
Glad to hear you have a nice Special .15!
