What do you use for testing besides a tach? Maybe some sort of dyno or maybe so e way of measuring thrust.
Thanks for any info you can supply.

With a small digital scale used by fishermen you can measure engine thrust. Mount your engine onto your plane that has a landing gear with low friction wheel shafts. Tie the engine tail with a strong thread to a fixed point with the scale in between. Start engine and peak the rpm. Read the scale.

This red postage stamp backplate COX 049 reedie with turbo head pulls 350 grams on the scale. Enogh for an unlimited vertical rise for the Quickie 100 RC plane it powers, weighing only 290 grams.

Nice vid, i'm just wanting to do some bench testing on various moters and try various configurations. No flying at this time. I'll think about your thrust test.
Thanks

Looks interesting, has anyone tried this on a nitro moter? I suppose modification similar to what was done by Fred to the Turnigy unit.
Thank you for pointing me in the direction.

I use pay pal.....never western union....never directly my credit card...but a low balance pre paid debit card if no pay pal

only grief is like any ebay or other hongkong, taiwan, china.....shipping wait times are nutz...some are many weeks and some in under 5 days...that said surprisingly many things from alibaba or banggood are free shipping
