Ah........
It is my least favourite part but it is very satisfying when you do it right.

I did a 3/4 cover back in the 90s Smile Funny thing about that plane... I got it used and it needed skinned. To balance the wing, the builder used an 049 wrench as weight.

I just did a complete plane with the new Hangar 9 ultracoat parklite. very forgiving stuff.

FWIW, the tools I use.

http://www.coverite.com/accys/covr2550.html
Shoe has the right curve to it to fit smallish areas and round corners nicely.

http://www.coverite.com/accys/covr2410.html
needed item,,don't skimp there. The "water boils" trick works good, but it only gets you in the ballpark.

http://www.coverite.com/accys/covr2750.html
That length cord is a monster at 9', I chopped mine down to about 4'

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXB363&P=M
proper fit cover sock,,pick up several cause they get dirty

I bought and returned several iron's that either didn't recover heat accurately or didnt hold there heat range properly. The Black Baron won out, out of all the rest.
