"Pretty" engines
Ok, so the two terms do not not fit together in our manly world, so maybe "attractive".
In another thread i mentioned that I thought my blue anodized OS LA-40 was pretty and mentioned the Evolution and Holland engines as pretty too. Got the Hollands, but not the Evolution so I visited Mother ebay and found one at a reasonable cost. I believe the manufacturer of these has gone out of business.
Yes.....attractive. Sellers photos.
Some of my Hollands, Tossed in a sandcast Enya .19 too. Might be a bit prejudiced about that one.
If you have a contender, I would like to see it.

Re: "Pretty" engines
Nice Andras, now that I have ran a few OS engines I will never consider them second to Enya's again. Kind of a thing with me back when I was collecting Enya's. But, I'm still an Enya guy.
But, this is about pretty engines guys, color, snap and lot's of it. Ya ever see a Hollywood star without her makeup? Not pretty!

I agree, Bob, makeup counts a lot...maybe except for Diane Lane who is beautiful even without makeup..
But back to the OS Max, so powerful and dependable. I run it in my Denight 50 and gives me plenty of fun..the one on the left, displayed with a Pitts special skeleton of a young friend who came to see me fly the Denight a week ago..

Re: "Pretty" engines
Louie, this could be the beginning of a long friendship.
Final scene in the movie Casablanca.
Evolution. Not as pretty, but I need something to disassemble and play around with. Totally unfamiliar with these. ebay for $35 and make an offer. Offer of $30 accepted. Educational if nothing else. I don't even know what displacement it is. Only hobby item among sellers long list of auctions.
The new Enya obscession. Maybe.......................
And sosam, Cox did put out some pretty engines. I love that Olympic .15 and everyone's favorite the RR-1. I had the plain jane version of the Sportsman.

Re: "Pretty" engines
Older thread, but a goodie.
Nice picture Fred, colorful and well arrainged.
X2 on the plumbed Morton radial. You ever see a B-29 or B-17 engine with the cowlings off...........beautiful in it's complexity.
Oh, i sorta gave up on the Evolutions, obscession stopped at three. But I didn't have to go far to snap a picture, raise up a foot or two. i keep them close where I can see them, but never took one apart.
And - Oh X2, I couldn't stand the poorly anodized "nominated most ugly engine" pictured above, so I redid the cylinder. Still ugly, but not so. Still has pitting and tool marks but at least it's - less ugly.
