Re: Parachute R/C Jumpers
There was someone local that had one at a fun fly a few years ago. Was neat, until...... the wind took it a bit far into the farm field that they flew over resulting in a search and rescue mission that lasted over an hour.

No Eric, was my first time seeing that, very good showmanship by this stunt team. The RC parachutists look so realistic in action with their articulated arms, that their aerial footage could be used for the movie industry. (Then have a real actor "rolling up" his chute on the ground to mimic his just "landed". )

Re: Parachute R/C Jumpers
It's really different from an airplane to know more about how it works it's cool to see how simple it works with only three channels I think it would be possible to add movement to have better control but to do this you also have to know how to jump with a parachute there Theory and practice are two things I could never jump from a real plane but imagine with an fpv system from an rc plane yes It would definitely be a funny experience.getback wrote:I am happy everyone liked that , there was a discussion yrs. ago but i can't find it , did find this though to get a look .....]

The arm movement was very impressive. Except for an extreme closeup, it looked like the real thing.
I also have to compliment the folks flying the parachutes for being able to tell them apart when there were so many in close proximity.
