A beautiful afternoon

A beautiful afternoon
My apologies to the group since these are neither 1/2A nor COX related, but the afternoon was just too nice not to share. A fellow club member had outfitted his Carbon Z Cub with floats and maidened it on a local reservoir (he already had stick time on wheels). I'm the old guy in the straw hat. He put in several uneventful but good flights.

Re: A beautiful afternoon
Sometimes I regret not flying my huge piper cub which is equipped with floats, it's because I don't have a boat because it's not the envy that's missing, it's the biggest I have with a .60 evolution and 7 feet of wingspan No license and insurance for either but surely one day I will do it Very nice photo
I should take at least photos of the plane on the water

Beautiful pictures Andrew, especially the third one down. Western Kentucky, you must not be far from Kim and you're the state next over from me. Pond area looks like WV without the mountains.

True and we've met at a flyin in Paducah, KY. Sometimes, when I comment on Kim's post, I may refer to being "across the creek" which is, of course, the Mississippi River, but we do live relatively close.
