While I'm looking to pick up a Medallion or TD for my recently acquired diesel head, (per the suggestions here vs a reed valve engine),can I use this tank for diesel?

I recall having one of these years ago that leaked from even glow fuel.

I didn't try with diesel fuel, but Delrin is compatible with ether and kerosene.

Excellent. I guess the red plastic is delrin? On the previous one that leaked glow fuel (30+ years ago) I believe it was the glue (for the tank backplate) that failed.

I tried that fuel tank with several adhesives including Testors plastic cement but no any melt. I also tried to melt with a soldering iron but it didn't melt, so I guess that it is made from Delrin.

I think that backplate of that fuel tank must be welded with hexafluoroisopropanol (HFPI), an expensive industrial chemical.

Thanks! Appreciate the info. Looks like it should be ok.

The one that leaked on me might just have missed a spot during chemical application.
