No, the most uncomfortable seats known to man are the slatted orthopedic special chairs/bench seats in the doctorssurgery where I used to live.

I don’t know if it’s the chairs or the fact that most people in the ER waiting lobby are already uncomfortable, but yeah, not the nicest place to spend hours.

+1 to what the guys already said. Take a rest, let the son take care of you, eat your soup and meds, you’ll be back in no time.

Bob, We're all praying for a fast recovery for you. I agree with Charles; in that "sitting-up" as much as possible will help to keep your lungs clear. If you have a reclining-lounger.. you can sleep sitting-up in it. If I know you; you'll kick Covid's butt and be back to yourself in no time flat!!!

Hang in there Bob. All common colds, influenzas, etc. are Corona viruses. Get the rest you need, stuff in the yard can wait, IMO. You're no Spring chicken, but even at your age you are doing amazingly well, we all admire you for how you remain active, never a dull moment, both in your yard activities, bear/bird watches, and aircraft/engine restorations.

Day four of this, day one since I actually knew what it was - advanced into the "Lose the lunch" stage this afternoon.  I just can't handle anymore Chicken Noodle soup, but cold cuts are fine.

and....Charles and roddie, my son who is looking after me won't let me lay down, and for the reasons you cited.  He's a hard taskmaster and at times a major PITA but I could not do without him.  

When the doctor told me I have covid, I told him...impossible, I'm double shot and boosted.  Madurna.  Which he dismissed with contempt and a wave of an arm which my son quickly agreed with.  

I had called the ambulance at about 1 am and they were here about 20 minutes later.  Two little ladies about 5' 2" each.  One, the driver dressed for war.  Both were well tatooed with metal stuck everywhere but the driver had a headband right out of a banzi movie.  Both were upbeat and courtious.  40 minute drive to the ER.  Lot's of deer strikes they mentioned.  

On appearances.  I watched the day shift arrive about 7 am and the night shift depart.  Almost all were dressed rather scruffy, doctors included but my ER Doc was presentible.  Dosen't matter, they got the job done.  The only clean shaven short haired men were medical services salesmen in the waiting room with their lap-tops open writing orders.  

Money rules.

Get better soon Bob, there are still a lot of broken and crappy planes, cars and boats out there waiting for some TLC!
