Looks like user made box lettered with technical ink pen and stencil.

Re: Stepped Babe Bee with a strange box
I have seen one of those before with the stencil like lettering on the box, so it's not a one-off.
Re: Stepped Babe Bee with a strange box
Possibly plain box for lowering export costs? "com carburador - deposito" (Portuguese) similar to Spanish, "con carburador y deposito" - with carburetor and tank.

Re: Stepped Babe Bee with a strange box
Well, it hung out there a day too long and I couldn't sell it here.
Made an low-ball offer which was accepted. It's just odd-ball wierd enough that it will look great in my display case.
Winging it's way from Charneca da Caparica, Charneca da Caparica, Portugal.

Perhaps of the late 1970's? Thickened steel around cylinder to prevent warping like Robert's thin cylinder Pee Wee, that someone here in CEF with machinist skills straightened, then returned to Robert, who's had many successful flights since on his quarter-A R/C planes.

$30 engine for nearly twice that. Oh well, the box for me makes it worth it.
The Portugal connection. Reminds me of Jane Froman injured in a plane crash near Lisbon while on her way to entertain troops in WW2.

You're a good man Robert; for having taken these notes in time.. as well as educating some of us.

Remember this.
Delivery window from Feb 15 to March 15th. Tracking number in another language
O envio foi encaminhado para o país de destino.
Mon, Jan 22
1:41pm
A informação sobre o envio foi recebida
So I gave up on it. Arrived today. Standard stepped cylinder, Cox starter spring removed from the case but the wear marks remain. Caved backplate from over-tightened case screws but the interior is spotless. Sticky exterior. Cleaned it up a bit. Berrymans etc.
Found (another) home.

Nicely revitalized as always, Bob..I assume a No 2 cylinder? The wear on the backside of the star reed would tell you how much the BB was used by the prior owner..
