Just a “heads-up” that emails with a link to the engine have now been sent to everyone that pre-ordered.

Please only purchase the number of engines that you had previously committed to, as we are technically over-subscribed.

If you have not received our email, please check your spam / junk mail folder.

Dave and Kim, I ran into a problem, when Bernie announced, Also checked my trash folder to see if I had accidentally deleted it, nada. I messaged him immediately that for some reason even after checking my spam folder, I did not receive his special E-mail.

Then he resent me the ordering link. If you contacted him earlier and he E-mailed you that you were placed on his list, I suggest you message him ASAP like I did.

I replied to his earlier E-mail with the status and also used the "contact us" feature on his website, too. He set up a special link, without which you will not be able to order without it. The announcement on his website is for the general public after his special to us offer is over.

Similar nuance on my end as well, sent Bernie a note and he resent it to me. It's kinda strange, checked spam, check all other spots, no sign of er. I wonder if there is some kind of recipient limit or something, IDK me and "confuser's" dont always get along.

Just shoot them a note, I replied to the pre-order email I sent in, and the team got back to me with a link. Then I was able to place the order.

For a pre-order ($89) we requested that you provide us with your email address, so that we can send you a link. We don't know if you did or not, as we don't know your name. However, if you did then we would have sent you an email with the link to the listing. If not then it would be too late, as all 50 engines are preordered.

The April 15 arrival date is a listing ($99.95) for Monday, but only if and when there are any engines left, in case some pre-orders are not paid for by Sunday night.

Found out what the problem is, and it's a "Gmail" issue. Gmail limits the amount of cc / bcc that an email can be sent to and 13 emails were not delivered to Gmail addresses. Sorry about that and we will re-send those emails individually.

Bernie, I was just thinking, a possible solution next time is to place all the names in the "Blind Copy" or BCC column. Then, it should appear to G-mail as only sent to one addressee, not multiple. The addressee who receives, would not see who else the E-mail was sent to, but in this case, should not matter. They can still return reply to you.

If you had already done that, then I wouldn't know what else gives.

That is exactly what I did, as I would never intentionally put them in cc; revealing everyone's addresses to each other.

However, Gmail still has to simultaneously deliver the 35 messages to their clients, all originating from the same sender.

Anyhow, the "bounces" were individually re-emailed this morning and lesson learnt Wink

The pricing is comparable to what one can buy them for on eBay (when available) but with ours:
  • You are buying from a reputable seller
  • No-hassle 100% satisfaction guarantee
  • And definitely no cracked carb bodies
Just a heads up that they will come with a shortened Babe Bee needle valve spring instead of the OEM "ratchet" spring. The OEM springs cost more than a glow head to manufacture and few buyers would be willing to pay an extra $10 for the ratchet spring.
Your substitution of the spring with another is such a small detail that it doesn't matter (no importa Very Happy ).

In other posts, it was mentioned that even a short piece of small fuel line can be used to hold needle setting during runs, so the absence of the spring steel needle clip is not a huge deal. Plus, based on the slightly darker yellow anodizing (or, wonders of modern digital photography?) really makes your TD stand out.

There's no mistaking it is still an original Cox, and ought to provide good service to those who buy them to operate them in their planes, cars and boats.

Looking forward to the engine I ordered when it arrives. Thumbs Up

I would like to thank Bernie for sending me the link at the beginning I wanted to buy two but As I am not a stingy person  I decided to take just one to give others the chance to have one I am very happy already to be able to have one for this price I added a note for cylinder without SPI I don't know if it's possible to still have cylinders without SPI  ??? Huh...

Bernie on Mar 26, 2024 wrote:We do have non-SPI ones and, when going through checkout to to pay for the SPI ones, simply include a note to substitute a non-SPI version. They are the twin slit-exhaust version.
Bernie has always come through and he is a man of his word. Stereo

Besides, I think not many would request the non-SPI cylinder, especially the need for speed crowd  Warm  Wink (unless they plan to install a muffler). Two Cents

Full disclosure: The listing pictures were from a prototype; whereas a sample needle valve body was used. The production run of needle valve bodies arrived in a lighter golden colour, similar to the drive-plate. Didn't really clue in to this colour discrepancy but it will not affect the operation of the engine Smile

As promised, a non-SPI cylinder will be substituted for your engine. You are also welcome to purchase a second engine, as only 70% of pre-orders have been paid for so far.

confused  Bernie, my apologies. What I Meant To Say My statement meant no offense, it is a common saying among orientals, especially the Chinese (lived in Hawaii 17 years). Surprised And, in a facetious sense, because previous Cox prototype engines were considered as unique and highly valued, why not would be your, too? (Unless, perhaps the value of those were because they were experimental for new or modified product development. Cool )

When I receive your engine, another can have it when they pry it out of my cold, dead hands. lol! This Site Rocks!

Thanks to you and Matt, have been a big help in keeping these little jewels repaired and running. Thumbs Up cheers

cheers Thanks again I would like to buy another but I will have to wait a few days it will be for the next pay check. bounce Because yesterday I ordered an 80cc engine kit for bike. using the money saved for this engine that I didn't buy. Doh! .... But sure, even for $100 I would still buy one So if there is still one left in a week I would take it if in the meantime it sells out it doesn't matter if anyone else can take advantage of this engine at a good price I am already very happy cheers Hand Shake
