Restoring a B&S 5HP
Yet another project that I don't have time for...
Not as much as restoration as just fixing it.
No spark, missing a few nuts and bolts, and a bad diaphragm. I ordered a new one, and cleaned the bore, piston, cylinder, valves/springs, and head. The hardest part is realizing I went through this one and took several parts off to repair another one. I didn't expect to have to fix it. Shouldn't be too hard, though.
I am really surprised how much people pay for these dated engines... I see them sell heavily used for $100 and up regularly. Which is a good thing for me at the moment.

nice engine, wonder what my tucomseh 3hp 4 stroke mini bike engine would sell for when i get it cleaned up and working

i am not really sure, it says Craftsman and Sears on the pull start cover and tucomseh is stamped into the crankcase
