PeeWee .020 fueling problem: ideas please?
I'm finding the fuel nipple on my PeeWee .020 very small an difficult to use without spillling a lot of fuel..
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could resolve this problem.
Thank you for any suggestions.

i usually use a peice of "small" diameter fuel line to fuel my peewee's, but i always get a little of over spray but not very much to make a difference. Hope this helps Dave

well, i use a small diameter rubber hose made by Lego for their pneumatic system, which goes over the nipple and makes a great seal without spilling one drop. I'm not sure if you guys have that much Lego over there, but i bet you could use any small diameter hose . oh yeah, its connected to one of those squeezy fuel bottles with the bent down nozzle.SuperDave wrote:I'm finding the fuel nipple on my PeeWee .020 very small an difficult to use without spilling a lot of fuel..

i just stuck the hose on the end and secured it with a cable binder.

Yes, I've tried small diamter fuel tubing but am now considering using a small hypodermic needle to "inject" the small quantity of fuel the PeeWee .020 takes.

, yup i used a hypo for a while when i started out with these engines, but i got tired always
having to fill up the syringe twice, so i got the squeezy bottle. i only have to press a few seconds, and i'm good to go.

You can go to the local pharmacy, pharmaceutical supply house or local vet and ask for a 100cc syringe, no needles. The 100cc will give several fills before running out. With care, you can also use it for priming.
If you explain what you're using it for, most will sell what you want. Just be sure to take the studs out of your lip and eyebrow before visiting.

I'm sure you must have type one diabetics over there Matt..
Dave, I use a 20cc syringe with a few inches of fuel
Tube on the end with the inner from a Biro stuck
In the end of the tube.
The tube is flexible proving movement and once the
Biro inner has been pushed over the vent once or
Thrice, it's pretty much a fiddle free operation.

Brodak sells dedicated syringes, there is no need to ask for methanol compatible syringes at the pharmacy...
