"Handy Hints from the Skunk Works"..or.."More Stuff That Everybody Already Knows"

For some 30 years, I've held the belief that the fine folks at CCI ammunition MUST be thinking about us model builders as they design packaging for their products. Justifying that belief, may I present my use for their plastic .22 ammo boxes:



With my other goofy pursuits, I naturally have a lot of these laying around, and consider it nearly-cosmic that the holes for the 22 cases are PERFECT pilot holes for a 1/4 x 32 tap to be run though them with an electric drill. Shaving down the support pillars inside the box allows the glowplugs to be handily suspended in a clean, dust-free environment....just WAITING to jump into action the next time you plug your clip wires into the wrong outlet!



The 100 round boxes, with the tray removed, also make excellent fast-grab storage for Cox wrenches and other stuff. So, if you don't already own a .22 rifle or pistol, here's your excuse to go buy one!
