saito fa 56 rebuild

saito fa 56 rebuild
I have a saito fa 56 which needs rebuilt before i put it in a 72'' rc Quaker that i am buying from my uncle, here is what is wrong
The glow plug threads are stripped out, so thanks Jason for suggesting Clarence Lee to me i will send him the old cylinder assembly for the glow plug thread
Of course this means removing the piston which is ringed, so i will need a new ring from Frank Bowman because once you take the ring out, the old one will never seat the same way in the cylinder again
My question is, will i have to mess with the timing again, i am not going to be touching the timing gears but will be taking the cylinder off with the rockers.
thanks, Mitch

Re: saito fa 56 rebuild
Shouldn't need to worry about the timing unless you remove the cam gear box cover and cam gear which is not needed to do unless you change out the bearings.

Re: saito fa 56 rebuild
got the piston removed, the forth cylinder screw was a bugger to remove because it was stripped i got it out by gripping it real hard with the pliers on my multi-tool
