I sent the seller a message about the mis-representation. I guess he fixed it. Some people think cox engines are all created equally...he explained in his message, " I was just going with what the box said"......

It's easy to catch mistakes if Cox engines are your thing. A lot of these things come from estate sales and such. So the sellers have no clue.
However, what really ticks me off is when sellers are made aware of mistakes and refuse to alter their descriptions because they are greedy.

In that case can we inform Ebay? Is there ebay has such procedure?
If buyer are not aware and not research properly, they will be cheated.

Re: Something Wrong with this E-Bay Sale Too!!
Good point Mud, I was more or less thinking about the consumer. I don't contact sellers often although sometimes I do with the intent of being helpful to both parties.
The most recent one was the Carl Goldberg Jumpin Bean. It went for $71 and it was a Brodak kit.
I contacted the seller to let him know it was a Brodak kit available new for $35 and he replied he had no idea and would alter the listing. He did not and I called him on it and he pretty much told me to kiss off.
Who gets hurt? Possibly the buyer, but in this case also John Brodak who has done a lot for the Control line hobby by offering us affordable kits and supplies.
I probably won't contact a seller again, but it still ain't gonna make me happy! I too have benefited from mislabled auctions so I see your point.
