I found a cox bronco bike engine. Anyone have any info on these things? As a cox fan and a motorized bike builder, this seems perfect. Only thing is the guy selling wants 200..

Re: cox bronco bike engine
depends on condition and if all the parts are there. The Cox chainsaws go for that much on occasion.

Re: cox bronco bike engine
I got a couple of those Cox/Roper 140 engines that jsesere pointed you to. They are real Cox engines with the Cox logo ground off. The crank and output shaft carrier housing are different on the Bronco engine compared to the standard engine but the other parts should interchange.
If it's in good shape and complete it should be worth that kind of coin. I'd love to get one of those.

Cox Bronco Bicycle Engine
Hi everyone!
Newbie to this Cox forum as of today (on eBay I have 1740+ POSITIVE Feedbacks however) and just came across the mention of COX BRONCO BICYCLE engines.
I wanted one of these so bad back in the day...
I have two (2) Cox BRONCO bicycle engines. One would be complete, the second very near complete. That means Twist Grip (throttle) assembly, the special handbrake lever that lifts and locks the engine up off the tire, cables, mounting hardware etc-things like that. Both with excellent compression, just never got around to mounting one on a bike!
Almost positive I have at least one original Manual but if not an original, then a scan, for sure.
I get the paperwork mixed up as I have both the BRONCO engine, BEAVER (chainsaw) engine along with a general service Series 140 Engine thats on a factory engine mount.
Bonus is that I also have the MSO (Manufacturers Statement of Origin) from Cox so a title could be secured-back then anyway! It's never been filled out and guaranteed original.
I'd consider selling them for a realistic $$ offer. And realistic means more than the $200. another person had posted...
If I seperate the two, the one thats incomplete (the engine itself is absolutely complete!) would have to go first.
I need to dig these out and figure out how to post pictures, I guess!
Shipping would be from Illinois.
Thanks for looking !
