I know this is alittle off but how do you reply to a topic without it going to latest topic? I did look for the answer but did not see this issue

You can't. The latest topics feature simply shows all the forum's recent posts. Why would you not want yours to show up?

If you want to reply to a specific post you can use the "quote" button. Is that what you are asking?

Something others might not know; If you used "Recent Posts" to get to that list. After you send a new reply to a post, if you click and hold the back arrow until the dropdown list appears, you can then click on "Advanced Search" and it will take you to the new posts again and refresh it.
