Stop dabbling and come over to the "Dark Side" (Electric Flight)

Stop dabbling and come over to the "Dark Side" (Electric Flight)
Start with aeroplanes
Move on to helicopters
Now for the difficult decision.
Do I use the light sabre to light my cigarette (see avatar) or smite the 1/2A plane?

I've said it before, the Bird Of Time is the nicest looking glider ever! Nice collection Travis.

Well it would appear that we have quite a few members who flirt with the "Dark Side" or are they already on the "Dark Side" and merely flirt with 1/2A?

I'd say I just like airplanes. This flirting thing might be to much info.

At one time I was so far into the dark side that I was making my own brushless outrunners from old cd-rom drives!ian1954 wrote:Well it would appear that we have quite a few members who flirt with the "Dark Side" or are they already on the "Dark Side" and merely flirt with 1/2A?

I like both sides, but I do prefer the little ones best.

Shawn,
That was the Daddy-O I was talking about earlier. It's an old design and I think it currently kitted for electric.

That is a nice collection Travis - that orange and white glider is something else! Bird of Time.
I looked it up, found this on U-tube - I hadn't appreciated the size. Small pictures are deceiving!

Stevens Aero makes some excellent kits. I built one their (now discontinued) micro Cap 232's to look like Matt Chapman's old paint splat scheme and I powered it with a cd-rom motor. It flew great until I got too cocky and tried to play the "How low can you go while inverted" game and tooth picked it along an empty parking lot.Cribbs74 wrote:
