What diameter fuel line for Cox .049 models?
Good Afternoon All;
Working to get a Cox Super Chipmunk (first generation, hollow foam wings) flight-ready, and the fuel line from the tank to the backplate is long gone. I know I can order from Cox International, but was hoping to procure something locally (auto parts store, Ace Hardware, etc.). What inner diameter and material should I be looking for?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Dave,
If originality is of no concern then why not grab some small silicone tubing from your local hobby shop? It will cost less than $2 for a foot of it.

Re: What diameter fuel line for Cox .049 models?
I think that for the Cox Super Chipmunk, the outer diameter is certainly as much important as the inner diameter. On the fuel tank side, the tube doesn't slide over a pipe but fits into a hole on the underside of the wedge of the fuel tank. It was a plastic tube that when pulling, was hard to remove from the tank. My Super Chipmunk is sadly long gone, so I can't help you any further. Although, I should have the tank, fuel line and engine somewhere in a box at my parents home but it needs rediscovering.
