Shrike Instructions
Anyone have a copy of the instructions? How do you make the pivot point that they circle around?
Re: Shrike Instructions
I beleive you just use a nail about 3 inches long and drive it in the pavement with string attached to your shrike! But i am not an expert its what Ive heard never owned one.

Re: Shrike Instructions
Hey Travis, If I had a small tether-car (and no instructions..) I would cut a circular pc. of 1/2" plywood (about the size of a 5 gal. bucket lid) and attach a 3" long hardwood dowel (broomstick diameter) on end in the center (using a wood-screw from the bottom).. Drive x4 equally-spaced 3/4" long drywall screws "down" through the plywood.. about one inch from the edge.. so that they protrude 1/4" through the bottom of the plywood. Use a 10 lb. dumbbell weight-plate over the dowel.. and attach a suitable hook/ring with retainer on top of the dowel for the tether-line. The 4 screws will "bite" into asphalt with the weight of the dumbbell. This way.. you won't damage any pavement... and it "should" be adequate weight to hold the base from moving, while the car is screaming around the circle!
... and it's a quick/go-anywhere set-up.
I will clarify if needed.. just ask!

I think that "Travis" (and myself..) are questioning what you use as a "base"... (size/weight etc..)
Thanks,
Roddie

Re: Shrike Instructions
Travis, here is some cool stuff to read about. It explains how a regulation "center-post" must be constructed... although; for "your" purposes... it's not necessary to build one that strong.

Travis: did you ever find the Shrike Instructions? I just won a red plastic Shrike on ebay. I will refurbish to resell.
