It has the four piece piston and a very early glow head
Excellent score!

Congrats, very nice example of a early Bee, good photo of clear plated backplate, neoprene rubber fuel line, etc.

Hey TopBannana, welcome to the forum.
Yep, that's a trike motorcycle engine.
If you want to get it to run, you've come
to the right place. The trikes don't get
discussed much here, but maybe this'll
be a spark. If you don't have the bike, and
you want t run it, you might consider a
new crank and prop plate.
Questions always welcomed.

Shocked 50 year old BabeBee restore

Post  craig bernard Sun Jan 04, 2015 10:54 pm

that old cox trike engine brings back memories parents bought me one when on vacation in florida when I was about ten.Like most kids played withit till the pull cord was all frayed or snapped took it apart to see how the insides looked then never put it back together.I was like that with some toys if they worked I took them apart after awhile to see what makes them tick. The trike probably ended up in the garbage. To bad I didnt have parents that threw those old cox peices in a box and presented them to me later on in life.who thought that these things would one day be collectible then though!you could buy them on almost anywhere back then not just hobbie stores department stores etc.one day I may have to buy another.this cox stuff is Like a drug always looking for another fix! Hi Trevor, the stand is a Tatone. They come up on e-bay now
and then. Mecoa has them for $25, but you might find a used one
for half that like I did.
The piece the Bee is mounted on, is an engine test mount
someone was sellling (also on the bay) a few years ago. He made
quite a few, and they were around for a while, but I haven't seen
them for sale in years. Wish I could score another.
Bernie has a nice one that works with radial or beam mount engines.
