Tower Hobbies RC 049?
I buddy of mine has been trying to describe an engine he bought when he was a kid for his first RC plane. It was a Guillows Piper Tomahawk (just in case someone knows of one for sale). Anyway, the engine he describes to me over several days of text messages looks like this. To my knowledge, Cox didn't make a factory set up like this, could Tower have put some custom engines together and sold them in their early to mid-80s catalog?
I know I'm not suppose to put a want ad in here, but it goes hand in hand, however... I would like to make an engine for him and find him the plane.
• Guillows Piper Tomahawk
• QRC
• Dragonfly muffler
• Ground cylinder for muffler
He's one of the guys that has been helping me out with my ultralight, which is getting really close to fly.

Re: Tower Hobbies RC 049?
Yes, I found those, except I'm not sure how hard it would be to make the cowl and cabin bubble.
Re: Tower Hobbies RC 049?
The cowl is easy. Use wood and build it up. The results will probably be better anyways, at least I have always had better results. The window bubble could be done the same way.
However the cabin bubble could also be done with a home-made vacuum form. Suitable plastic can be obtained pretty easily, most craft stores have suitable plastic. The plug is made from wood and carved to shape, then sealed. There are also people who will pull a few canopies on your plug.
