Cox Engines at AMA Expo 2016
Thought you guys would appreciate photos taken of a great selection of Cox engines for sale at AMA Expo 2016. Always nice to see collections of engines offered at the Swap Shop and sellers willing to negotiate. All the NIB Cox control line planes went FAST! Great event this year!

Drooling......
Catch any prices on the RR-1 or the TD Special Mk II?
From what I could see the RC PeeWee's are $75

I think it would be a fair bet that he'd know us, even if he doesn't contribute.Admin wrote:Wow, there's some great pieces there! This guy needs to be on here...that is if he isn't already .

Re: Cox Engines at AMA Expo 2016
Not sure if the seller is on here but he was willing to knock off between $10-$20 on an engine, which was great. From another seller, I purchased 10 NIP Cox .049 Sure Starts, 10 new Cox 6x3 props and 10 New Cox 5x3.5 Pusher props, all for $100. Picked up a few kits as well: Ace RC Pocket Rocket, Ace Alpha and Davey Systems Fly Baby for $20 each and a NIB Thunder Tiger Cessna 177 ARF with GP-10 engine for $50. The final purchase was a scratch built/ready to fly RC 1/2A Bücker Bü 133 Jungmeister with Norvel .061 for $30. Not a bad day!
Re: Cox Engines at AMA Expo 2016
Here's my $30 restoration project, mostly cosmetic. Wingspan is 26 inches. I'm really looking forward to getting her into the wind.

My thoughts exactly. Not to mention all the "pristine hard-to-find-in-Europe type of engine for next to nothing incl shipping CONUS" deals everywhere

Andras-Believe me, I know how lucky I am to live in Southern California aka "Cox Land" and it doesn't suck. Well... I guess I shouldn't post photos anymore, I thought sharing was caring, not upsetting Cox family members.

Sure thing Xplaneguy no offense was taken I was really hesitating when posting that message for fears of native speakers misunderstanding my Hunglish plus I thought overloard meant browny when adding greeny in fact...
that AMA event should sometimes come to Europe as well (exhibits would fetch a nice money here for the owners of those gems for sure.)

Oh boy! Look at all those NIB engines! I sure would like to have a 5 and 7 cylinder radial! Great score on the Bucker, too!

Thanks ARUP! The Bucker will live again as my daughter and I continue to do our part to keep the Cox engines flying for years to come. Our mission is to enjoy them while exposing the next generation of modeler to these wonderful Cox creations.
Keep'em flying!
