MVVS 1.5 DFS

Re: MVVS 1.5 DFS
These engines are great. Not quite as strong as the PAW .09 but the handling and throttling is excellent.
The first models had a problem with the transfer ports not being equal but they fixed that for the later versions. I only have the later one with a plastic backplate, and there transfer channels are the same (see picture below).
I've put a few brass shims behind the prop driver, in order to avoid galling and to reduce the slop a little but appart from that it didn't need any mods. Below is a short video on a 9x4 prop (click on the link, I can't get the embedding to work), runs really sweet I think and the pick-up from idle is top-notch for a diesel.

Re: MVVS 1.5 DFS
Embedding did work.
Thanks for posting the video - it might not be as powerful as the PAW 09 but it is quieter - the silencer does a good job.
I have given up taking videos of my engines running - I am too careless and I ruined my little snapper with greasy oily fingers. I am not very successful with the GoPro ( it has waterproof covers) but you can't focus with it.
My new camera (bargain price at Delhi airport) is far too delicate for this but much better at snapping engines. (It is also a little complicated and I am not one for reading manuals).

Kris,
That sounds beautiful. The idle and transition sound very nice and clean.
