Any Spook flyers out there??
Hi folks,
are there any Spooks out there in CEF-land that are flying, either original or replica?? I'd love to see some pics as I've only seen a picture of a kit in the box, not much to go on when I fancy building a bigger copy for my old Sportsman to drag around!

There have been several postings on here about the Spook...think Ron has one that he was thinking about (or did) copying templates.
You might try a search for it.

Yeah, did that first, very interesting and informative--but it hasn't answered my main question---are there any Spooks flying? I wondered how they would handle, they seem to have such a long nose and relatively little elevator area. Most of the 'wings I used to fly had the rear of the engine hard up to the leading edge while the elevator was hinged real close to the trailing edge. Anyone know of a 'wing called CUTLASS? Came out in the mid-sixties, twin-tail, mildly swept-back wing with no nose, just the engine bearers poking out the front! Not nimble enough to be truly competitive, at least not with the engines I could afford back then, but easy to build and tough as old boots, just the thing for a green kid to learn combat with! Still got the plan somewhere....and a spare TeeDee .09....hmmmmmm.

Search spook 020. I have a fullsize, roughly 3 x 4 foot, Spook drawing and templates of the ribs. Ron C. has a CAD file of the original Spook drawing. PM me if I can help.
edited to add comments:
I don't remember Ron ever posting pictures or video of any flights.
