Thanks for the free porn Joe. Beautiful!
I also like the fuel tube spacer on the prop screw. Very clever.

Re: Golden Bee
Very nice Golden Bee, it's a early one, notice the original style glowhead and spinner and color. That’s the way the early pistons were put together, but I thought they were done by '58-'59, maybe not??? MUD!!!!!
Re: Golden Bee
could you please re-shoot a photo of that I'd love to add it to my photo collection on my web site.
Re: Golden Bee
Sure, how would you like it shot? Im having trouble with glare and flash washout. Id like to have a photo on your website.

Re: Golden Bee
50 year old Golden Bee first run, has three piece piston, and original reed.
It wanted to start backward. The backplate hole is very small, runs longer than my Black Widow.

I always thought they could only be found in the 1956 (maybe early '57) Babe Bees (for the bee engines) until cox changed over to the pressed ball and socket pistons.

From what Mud's told me the change took place in 1957, perhaps late 1957, but that Cox depleted the stock of four-piece pistons before dedicating to the new style. So with that and the Golden Bee coming out in '58, the piston was still being used into '58.

Huh, that must explain it then.
