The black tab on the side looks like an exhaust deflector bent over funny.

I would say it was built, but I can't be positive. One of the more educated historians would have more info I bet.

Yo Eric,
  Model Engine Handbook says 190-6, made
in the mid 70.s. Used on the Combat Mustang
and Skyraiders. Nice peice.  Smoking

Is the metal tab on the side an exhaust deflector or some other part?

It looks throttled.

Thanks guys ! I will have to get it cleaned up and check out the operation , would like to see what that set up looks like inside and how the throttle works with the handle . I think that mite would bee hard to fly unless it takes a bite of control to change from idle to full and back ? This is the first one of this style i have seen . Small Cox Logo
