Cox Engine of The Month
It's going to be a nostalgic Christmas :)

It's going to be a nostalgic Christmas :)
My kids aren't kids any more at 53, 56, and 59 but I still call them that.
Year's ago we bought the 2 girls transistor radios called "Toot a Loops" in colors that matched their bedrooms. For Mark we got him a Cox Helicopter. I thought it would be neat if I searched ebay in an effort to come up with the same items, luckily I did correct items all. They are long gone now but I have heard them talk about them in the past and how much they enjoyed them.
I'm posting this because I'm going to need some help with the Helicopter, It's missing the fuel tank and the plastic canopy. Any help in locating a source would be appreciated.

Sounds like it's going to be a fun Christmas!
I have a helicopter .020 engine and the gas tank still attached, however the tank is broken and filled with cracks. It appears to be very fragile, so I'd assume most other tanks you'll come across will be fragile as well. Unless it's going to be for display, you may want to get a small Perfect tank or make one yourself.

What a great idea, get the kids the same toys they had 40+ years ago, how cool is that!
Jeez, I'd love to find a orange Baja Bug under the tree Christmas morning!

Bernie at Cox International has a small integrated tank for $2.95 plus shipping. Looks like the one that was on a Cox helicopter I got for my son years ago.

Bob, what a neat idea for your kids! I can't Scrooge out this close to Christmas. I have a complete but very cloudy canopy, I also have a tank. In not so new condition. As I was disassembled the engine mount the "flanges" that hold the tank to the firewall are cracked, one crumbled of one corner. It is also missing the fuel feed nipple. You are welcome to both if you want them. Pm me your address and they'll be on santa' sleigh over the hills and thru the woods as they say.

Could a tank be 3D printed? Maybe Captain Picard can beam it down to you. Lol. sorry. South Park reference. probably Cartman.
