Cool antique! Assume it's battery powered?  Good Canidate for a friction drive Enya?

Second look, I noticed it is a "Remco" product. I was sooo disappointed when I received the Remco SHark one Christmas wayyy back in the early 60's. Check out the high speed operation of the SHARK in comparison to a 049 powered vehicle!

lol!

Here's another tether car for $1,800.00, 2 days more on the bid. Nice, but a little pricey:

E-Bay Item# 253976663318, Original Vintage Dooling Broothers Mercury Tether Car with Engine

I just watched the video, that’s too funny. I can almost hear the disappointment.

Here's something that may be of interest to those who don't want to spend the high dollars to create a vintage looking replica. Most likely one would have to roll their own powertrain. Also, I don't know how sturdy they would be for tether use.

Ebay #381372936330, Authentic Models PC015 Hornet 1930s Tether Car Replica US $94.00 incl. shipping. Dimensions: 9.75 x 5.25 x 3.75 in. (24.5 x 13.5 x 9.5 cm)

Ebay #253744361358, Authentic Models 1930s Indy Racer Replica Silver With Red Seat US $112.95 incl. shipping. Size: 12.2" length x 5.1" width x 3.5" height
