Deal of the year :)

Deal of the year :)
Truly a bargain and "only" $75 shipping to Canada
https://www.ebay.com/itm/COX-THIMBLE-DROME-PROP-MODEL-AIRPLANE-ENGINE-ROTATES-BUT-HARD/172796956965?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
We can't really get involved but perhaps someone else wants to send a link to the seller, mentioning that these engines, brand new, are available all day long for $45? And. like $7 for shipping.

Re: Deal of the year :)
Ha, ha, ha the last time I messaged a seller to inform them of an overpriced item I received a return message that was not to pleasent. Ever since then, I’ll view a inappropriately priced item, laugh to myself that they’re paying EB listing fees just to
Showcase their ignorance. Search this sellers listings under “toys and hobbies” he has lots of overpriced stuff.

Typical antique seller. Antiques have value. This is just "old".

I've been told where to go as well when telling sellers what they have is overpriced or not "rare". I was once told that I would be reported as attempting to negotiate a lower price ( which to my understanding isn't against eBay rules).
Re: Deal of the year :)
I bid on this because I have a piston that would fit it but wow. Apparently someone really wanted it.

Jason,
Contact me here support@coxengines.com and I'll knock another 10% off (no eBay fees) and include free shipping for the second one we have. We can take a picture but it's absolutely identical.

yep, its sales 101, if you don't know what it's worth, start really high. People don't like to be informed 'cause they alway think they know more than the next guy.
Lol, i've tried to 'inform' people, it never works. I never have, but always wanted to ask 'em if they'll sell it for slightly less than their crazy high price and when they'd say SURE, tell 'em: ok thanks, you're gonna think about it!!!

On another auction, I didn't know you could jack the reserve after posting, but maybe I just never noticed before.
I was mildly interested in this little Ryan...kinda right up my alley since I only want runners. Saved the page, but when I checked again, with no bids, the reserve had umps a few notches.
I'd like to have it, but it's already up against the wall as far as my max bid. Still, got some nice photos for the album.

Just won a local similar Babe Bee for $17.60 delivered, except mine is complete and much cleaner. Opened at $10 and never got one bid but mine. Can always do with another Babe Bee
