Re: Speaking of Glow Plugs: Preference?
The Thunderbolt RC Long is my all time favorite. I've used them with and without idle bars, equally well on profile planes, but I always prefer the idle bar on inverted engines. Never had an engine sag when removing the igniter or fail at the field either. Enya 3 seems as dependable, and my spring lock pocket igniter fits them. I've never used a twist-on type of igniter. The Enyas are shorter than I like. Sig RC Longs have always worked fine for me too, as far as I can recall

Yep, Thunderbolts! They're on the hot side, perfect for a 2-4-2 set-up.
I even started an LA .46 with a Thunderbolt without a battery one time, couldn't figure out why it wasn't one, two flip starts, after 1/2 doz. or so hard, po'd flips it finally started, went to disconnect clip and it was nowhere near!
