Re: Electric Cox F-8 Bearcat X2
Hi roddie, got the charger today. Made in China $14.95 shipped I think. I don't like to patronize products made there but for the price you can't beat it. Sensor chargers 6V, 7.2V, and 9.6V all from the same connector which presents a compatibility problem. And, yes..........sure enough the connector fits the supplied but dead Tyco battery that came with the airplane but doesn't fit my new batteries. Maybe it will fit the new 1200 MAH battery that I have coming.
Your adapters would solve my problem but they too are made in China with shipping dates well into May. I could cut off the Tyco batteries connector and splice it onto one of the new ones. May do that but not in a rush.

Just thinking out loud here. Since the green battery you have is no longer good, I was just thinking that you may be able to remove the wires directly from the battery and solder onto the tabs on your green battery with the wrong connectors. Or if you have a battery place locally, they may be able to help you out by 'welding' then plug onto the new battery as well.

Hi Robert, Here's another web-link to a US-based supplier of radio-control electronics (Radical RC). I have not done business with them.. but it appears that the items they stock.. are "in house".. and not shipped from China. I could be wrong about that.. but it may be worth taking a look. The upper-left quadrant of their page has a statement "Sorry.. we're not accepting phone-calls at this time, our priority is to process orders and emails. Please email any questions."
Below that statement is one that reads; "Praying for the health and peace of all"... leading me to assume that the site is fairly current. A Mr. Dave Thacker appears to be the contact-person.
https://www.radicalrc.com/category/Plug-Harnesses-Ys-Pigtails-172
The above link is for their plugs/harnesses.. but they also stock motors and propeller-adapters to fit the motor you have. If nothing else, it's an interesting site to look around.

"Well it's always something" how true Eric, life's little Derails.
Had a few moments to spare yesterday and tried to get the Norvel going. Unvented fuel tank and when I tried to fill it through the muffler tap it flooded the engine. I have been away from this for awhile. Popped off the stopper and filled the tank, cleared the Norvel and got a couple of prime runs and quit. Out of time.
Been helping my daughter lay laminated flooring, I'm mostly the move furniture and disassemble the TV/stereo consoles guy. Saving the scraps to resurface this workbench.
And, trying to make sense of this stuff. Bind and fly.
While trying to put this locomotive back together.
Always something...........
And Chancey, the green battery is the good one. The yellow Tyco battery has a couple of dead cells. Eventually I will just cut the plug off it and splice onto the good green battery.

D'oh. Yep, I must have been tired or just having a dumb moment when I typed that as I mentioned green battery back to back. I meant from yellow battery to green. But you said you will probably just do that anyway.

Nice little Skyraiders there. I am assuming those are the bind and fly planes you are talking about? If you are having problems, just post them, or message me and I will help you out.
