Diesel shortage??

Diesel shortage??
I am hearing stories from truckers and fuel suppliers that some states are seeing shortages and rationing of diesel. Ohio and West Virginia were two states mentioned as well as others. Normal here, anyone see any shortages?

No shortages here, but it did cost me nearly fifty bucks to fill up my little Nissan 350Z. NOT a happy camper!
Don't know what happened, we went from being an energy exporter to begging the Arabs to increase production in less than one year.

Think yourself lucky. I filled our Landcruiser recently (including sub-tank) and it cost me $140AUD. That's $105 USD.
Costs me $60AUD to fill my 1970 Corolla, and that only has an 8 gallon tank!

Re: Diesel shortage??
Here in Oklahoma we are among the lowest in the country. Averaging around $3 a gallon for diesel and $2.80’s for regular unleaded. Seems the problem is Covid related. Not enough shipments or those willing to ship. I don’t think shutting down the Keystone pipeline will help anything either. From what I read we are at the peak and things should get better. Time will tell
We had a new gas station open up in our small town, big and fancy. Took a lot of business away from the local stations. It’s started a price war and it drove prices down to $2.17 a gallon last week.

Here diesel is $4.25 USD per gallon, and regular grade gasoline is $4.35 USD per gallon, and has been so for over a month so far. Also rumored to be going up again......

Re: Diesel shortage??
Thanks for the replies. The truckers were talking about the large interstate truck stops like Pilot and others. The high price is by design, the boards of energy companies are being packed with anti oil individuals and finance for oil drilling is under attack though the banks. The price has only started to rise. Big oil can pump less and make more dollars.
Your energy secretary is a incompetent fool, the first 30 seconds of video is telling. Let them eat cake!!
The transportation secretary Mr Buttaplugs is also fool.
Lets go Brandon!!!!

Re: Diesel shortage??
Buddy, and myself have a surplus military truck ( M1078 LMTV) that we restored.
Today we went to fill up the tank due to local flooding, and wanted to make sure it was ready if needed.
We were limited to 40 gallons, and if we were a real big rig, we could have had 60.
I then went to fill up my F250 with regular old gasoline, and was limited to 20 gallons.
