Don't have any because no import at the time. Mail cost and model prices rocketed when used models were available in ebay.

Re: How many cox planes do you have?
Only one, a never-flown P-40 with some hangar rash. The exhausts are missing, but @Kim kindly sent me a pair along with a control handle and a couple of rolls of Dacron, so now it is complete Thanks again Kim! It was also missing the spinner, I added that from my parts bin (should be yellow, but I like the red one more):

I'd have to check my Cox PDF catalogues, but I believe some years used the red spinner, so, I don't think your otherwise well preserved P-40 is out of place with the red.KariFS wrote:It was also missing the spinner, I added that from my parts bin (should be yellow, but I like the red one more):
Have still my Ace R/C Littlest Stick, photo from the not so distant past wtih a Cox .0202 Pee Wee and hole drilled through tank to use a larger Perfect wedge tank mounted with wedge pointed down for extended R/C flight.
Still have an Ace R/C Grasshopper R/C trainer with a Cox .049 Golden Bee mounted. Although my Sterling Minnie Mambo sports a Norvel .061 Big Mig R/C on it, no reason why I couldn't change out the engine on Norvel 1 oz. tank mount with my Cox .049 Medallion R/C, same bolt pattern. Probably would be a better engine for it.
Also my Goldberg Swordsman 18 had a Babe Bee mounted on it until I swapped it out with a hotter Testors 800. Have a need to finish Sterling Beginners P-47 profile with a custom yellow powder coat die cast crankcase and 8cc tank mount Cox engine.

Re: How many cox planes do you have?
Assuming, that not only my shelf-queen NIB, genuine COX airplane, the Super Sport Trainer (1), but my own-built RC planes powered by COX engines (9) also count, I have at least 10. Except for the Super Sport Trainer, I actively and regularly fly the rest:
1. The biggies in the back-row, with the Super Sport Trainer behind them: Cosmic Wind, and Sig Wonder, both powered by COX 09 TeeDee engines beefed up with RC carbs ( not fully throttrable thanks to the SPI cylinders).
2. Second row from top : the Toucan 051, the Tigercat 049 and the Streaker 049, powered by COX TeeDee-s of the respective caliber, all equipped with exhaust throttle rings.
3. Third row has my "veteran" Quickie 100 (indestructable COX 049 red postage stamp backplate Reedie with exhaust throttle ring), Roaring 20 (COX 020 TeeDee) and Lil'Roughneck (home built clone 049 Killer Bee named TeeDeeReedie, a helluva marathon flyer!!!).
4. Front row kindergarden: Sharkface and Li'l SpeeDee, both powered by COX 010 TeeDee-s.
Now that I hit 65 last Sunday and will shift to part-time work or even full retirement, I will build soon and add at least one more Cosmic Wing, a Lil Roghneck and a Quickie100, all currently standing alert boxed as kits on a shelf in my man-cave.

See ... that's still no excuse ... an old Cox.049, a raggedy balsa fuselage with wings, some 35' dacron lines and an uncut lawn and you won't stop giggling cauz' it'll land itself!! Can anybody agree wit' me on dat??

Visual acuity problems, eh?robot797 wrote:probably never. I cant see depth so the landing would be impossible for me
You know yourself best. Does that also apply to flying control line planes? Being tethered at the same distance (say 60 feet away for a .35 powered plane, 30 feet for half-A), then you don't have to judge distances, whereas in R/C you have to.
It's just too bad one of us doesn't live near you, might be able to find a way that we could somehow help you, plus have some fun trying.
