K&B "Allyn" Fury .074 - Better than expected
Arrived today. Seller accepted my offer.
I only have a couple of K&B engines, two Green head "Torpedos" and an Infant. The engine on the left came on a crashed British SE-5 that Freddie gifted me years ago. He found it in a field. What was left of the airframe couldn't be completely saved but the engine despite issues turned out fine after a full re-do.
The .074 is a surprise. Listed as "Used" it isn't although the Kasun propellor has been. Robust and so nicely cast.
I have no idea what the rod is for. Usually it for tightening a spinner. but no spinner here and it doesn't show on the parts list.
Prompted me to give in to the sellers BIN/or make an offer on this K&B .15 twin, I had made him a couple of offers which he ignored. Never owned a twin. A first for me.
I think I'm on safe ground here, Ken likes K&B's

Those are great looking engines Bob… The twin is very special!!!!….The green heads are just classy….. I think K&B had a good name for a lot of years….. Also interesting to note their very early influence the small engine movement with the Infant…. I’m sure that seemed unbelievable at the time….
